I beg to differ.

I have timeslips to prove it even vs a moderately modded GTP. (14.8 @ 94 to 14.9 @ 92) It pulled off the line (my 2.4x could be some of that  ), but I reeled it in a bit past half track.
Stock GTP's (or just filter mod) run around 15.1-15.2 @ 90 here. Stock SVT's are 15.4-15.5 @ 89.
There is a heavily modified GTP that runs 13's too!!! I'm not there yet...
Now stock for stock... GTP guaranteed. Brainless to launch an ATX vs launching an SVT too...
Even with a perfect launch the SVT will be playing catch up until about 300' Extend the race to a half mile and you should win...
On the highway they are very even with the SVT having the advantage the longer it goes and/or the higher speeds attained. (better CD, MTX tranny, & no limiter)
Now if the GTP has no limiter, smaller pulley, filter & exhaust all bets are off! Their top speed would be in the 140-150 range too. Even with the ATX!
