I beg to differ. laugh I have timeslips to prove it even vs a moderately modded GTP. (14.8 @ 94 to 14.9 @ 92) It pulled off the line (my 2.4x could be some of that  ), but I reeled it in a bit past half track.
Stock GTP's (or just filter mod) run around 15.1-15.2 @ 90 here. Stock SVT's are 15.4-15.5 @ 89.
There is a heavily modified GTP that runs 13's too!!! I'm not there yet... wink cool

Now stock for stock... GTP guaranteed. Brainless to launch an ATX vs launching an SVT too...
Even with a perfect launch the SVT will be playing catch up until about 300' Extend the race to a half mile and you should win...
On the highway they are very even with the SVT having the advantage the longer it goes and/or the higher speeds attained. (better CD, MTX tranny, & no limiter)
Now if the GTP has no limiter, smaller pulley, filter & exhaust all bets are off! Their top speed would be in the 140-150 range too. Even with the ATX!
