More body roll than my 97 nissan pick-up truck Just like Icey mike said, they are so common. I live in rural mississippi and everyday I swear I see at least 10. Its sad though that the majority of the ppl who have them dont know what they have. And they could make the thing run high 13's w/o a ton of money. 240 hp out of a s/c 3.8??? I think they should be able to do better than that. Hell Nissan is pumpin 255hp out of a n/a 3.5. Although I do believe the GTP is going to be 280/280 in a few years when it gets a redesign...which it needs IMO. -neal

You may run him down on the express way after 115mph, but until then, you'll be looking at his tail lights! I beg to differ. I have timeslips to prove it even vs a moderately modded GTP. (14.8 @ 94 to 14.9 @ 92) It pulled off the line (my 2.4x could be some of that  ), but I reeled it in a bit past half track. Stock GTP's (or just filter mod) run around 15.1-15.2 @ 90 here. Stock SVT's are 15.4-15.5 @ 89. There is a heavily modified GTP that runs 13's too!!! I'm not there yet... Now stock for stock... GTP guaranteed. Brainless to launch an ATX vs launching an SVT too... Even with a perfect launch the SVT will be playing catch up until about 300' Extend the race to a half mile and you should win... On the highway they are very even with the SVT having the advantage the longer it goes and/or the higher speeds attained. (better CD, MTX tranny, & no limiter) Now if the GTP has no limiter, smaller pulley, filter & exhaust all bets are off! Their top speed would be in the 140-150 range too. Even with the ATX!

How about a Park Ave? When I was a mechanic a couple years back I worked on a Special Edition Park Ave with the s/c 3800, that thing freakin flew! leather, power everything, heck, the back seat passengers had vanity mirrors that fliped down from the headliner for crying out loud, thing was loaded and still went like no ones business. But it sure was fun to test drive. (don't worry, I didn't rag it all that bad, just a couple WOT takeoffs)

I had a 96 GAGT 4 cylinder mtx. It would beat my 2.5 atx contour, but the engine isn't durable. Spun a rod bearing @ 72K miles.
