Has anyone changed their shifter knob? I want to try a different one but they are hard to find.

I bought a 2001 Cougar knob - leather with an aluminum insert on top - matches nice with the pedals I've got.

I've got a Team Voodoo shift knob on mine. Fits perfectly.

How much was the 01 Cougar knob? Is there a part number for it?
Thanks,

Peter,

If you are in no hurry, we will have a polished aluminum knob with carbon fibre insert available in SEPT.

Thanks,

I bought it at the dealership for about $70 after taxes. If you're still interested, I'll dig up the part # at home.

I replaced the stock one with the Momo "Sphere" ??? It's aluminum with a polished ring on top, brushed half way down, two polished rings with a leather ring in the middle and brushed down the other half. I know that explination sounds weird, but it looks really good. Also I removed the reverse lock out ring. Now it never pops out of reverse!

I had to put another leather boot on (nice soft leather) and the whole package looks really sweet.

What ever you do, remove that stupid stock knob. You would be suprised at the difference in shifter feel.

Where did you get the leather boot, and was it much work to fit?
