Well, it finally went...so, here are my options:
1. Rebuilt one for $47, comes with lifetime warranty. 2. New one for $73, comes with lifetime warranty.
Any reason I shouldn't get the rebuilt one? I'm kinda strapped for cash, but am willing to spring for the new one if I have a good reason to...oh, and both are in stock!

Rebuilt if you plan on getting rid of car soon. With a lifetime warranty, you can get another one if it craps out, only the labor is on your ticket.

Thanks guys, I'm off! And Chris, we're going to see how fast it can be replaced TONIGHT, I've got to drive the damn thing tomorrow.
Also, thanks to Vincent, DarkSideSVT, for tracking down the part for me while I was on the side of the road waiting for the tow truck. 5-stars for you baby!

Well, crud, those were OEM replacements with plastic impellers. They are hard plastic, but I'll order one from AutoZone, should be in tomorrow, then I'm assured it won't be letting me down again.
I did manage to pickup the thermostat and some coolant, so it wasn't a totally wasted trip.
Here is what I can't figure out...if the waterpump blew, why is the coolant and water dripping out of the other side of the car? The waterpump is on the driver side of the engine, but the crap is all over the ground on the passenger side and that's whole side of the engine bay is wet. I am correct that this is the water pump, aren't I?
Just cruising along and looked down and my temp was pegged RED.

So, AutoZone doesn't use metal impellers anymore? I guess I'll know this afternoon

This one looks suspiciously identical to the pump I just bought from NAPA for $51.00. Available either online or thru their stores

The new one will cover labor up to a certain millage if it fails. The rebuilt probably won't. But if you are installing it, it doesn't matter!
