Does anyone know a local GTA source for Mobil One oil filters? I normally buy them in the US, but won't be able to make the trip before my upcoming vacation. Aside from the Mobil One, does anyone know a source for the Motorcraft FL820S (the American one based on the Purolator Pure One) or the Purolator Pure One?

For the Purolator go to Albion auto parts, they are located on britania road between dixie and tomken, you can also go to wallmart, it will not be on the shelves just go to the new automotive counter and ask for one thats where i get it best price on it too. As for mobil one i have no idea. I stick with the purolator or the fram double guard from canadian tire. HTH

Howdy from the westcoast;
I buy my filter's FL820S by the half flat which is 6 filter from our local Ford dealer.Got a good deal,I paid $5.88 ea. they are normally $11.55 ea. if you buy one. Maybe you should try some local dealer's out your way and get the same deal.Your prices might even be better than our's after all your out east eh!
The motorcraft filter is made by purolator but it is far superior that the filter that is marked with the purolator logo. The FL820S has more filter paper in it and also has a better pressure release valve. Check it out for yourself. They look the same from the outside but look on the inside and you'll see the difference.

I use the Ford filters. I have looked at the filters and Ford's filters are better than most. The oil passages in the Ford filter are bigger too. Quicker oil flow.
I thought the Ford filters were made by WIX. Could be mistaken though.

Stay away from the double guards. They are impregnated with teflon solids. That is one thing you do not want in your engine oil.
