Congrats Delmar. I 've had mine for a week and a half. I have had no probs except for the dreaded throttle hang. Mine does it too and I haven't had a chance to fix it. What are your stats. Mileage, price, build #, etc.? Don't forget, "wax on...wax off" __________________________________________ www.pbase.com/ddehoyos/svt

What are you stats? I'm picking up my 1999 CSVT tonight - woohoo! This baby is red on tan, tints all around, and only 67K (kms), built 04/21/99, #1969/2760 - ok ok so I don't pay attention too good  How much did you pay for it though?

How much did you pay for it though? I paid $18,500 CANADIAN including new rubber and new brakes. It's in my driveway right now.... but it's not registered yet. I WANNA PLAY! The temptation is killing me!

The problem is present (prevalent) only on the 2.5 litre Duratec engines. Of course, the SVT only came in this engine so all SVTs (including yours), and cars with this engine (including mine) are affected. The Zetec 4-banger engine is not affected. Only in rare cases will the waterpump fail in this engine.

One question, where did you find a T-red on Tan SVT? I though all SVTs had the Midnight Blue leather interior. Just wondering. Still, congrats on the new car. Enjoy. I love driving my dads.

Blipping the throttle does in fact help to splash lubricant onto the selector forks.

Just got it registered... now I have to wait till I finish work, and then it's PLAY TIME!
(I took it around the block last night anyway... lot's of fun, but I really gotta learn to drive a stick better - very jerky, and a few stalls going into 1st.)
