Just thought I would say hi. Have been reading lots but only registered recently. Live in Mississauga. Drive a 99 silver SVT. Burhamthorpe / Mavis area. Most other SVT owners in the area seem to treat their cars as though it was a Buick. I on the other hand seem to get a lot of looks (from the rice rockets) as I scream on by them. Am taking a cautious approach to mods. Wouldn't mind having a look and listen to modded SVTs to see if I should mod. Love the sound of the exhaust. I had a 2000 Cougar as a rental while my SVT was at the dealer. Boy was it boring and tame compared to an SVT.
The SVT experience in Dearborn was a blast!!

Welcome aboard. There is quite a number of CEG members in the GTA. Happy to see another.

I'm usually in that area around 7:30 for the usual morning commute all the way to work in Scarborough. Wasn't I in Woodbridge ...

Hi All,
Have a 97 Mystique GS, stumbled on the CEG while doing a web-search on possible solutions for the infamous rear clunk.
The CEG'ers are a good bunch !
Hope to banish the clunk with the BAT [on the way] bushes.

Many a time the clunk was attributed to the rear parking brake cables (if you have rear discs). The tie straps that attach them to the rear trailing arms would break and cause the cable to bang against the trailing arms. This would occur over bumps, varying from medium to large.
