You play with fire and you will get burnt!!!!! You speed you get caught. Your warning with the stobe lights probably played an effect with your speeding ticket. Pulled the plate # and saw warning, decided to pull ya over.

One question: What was the traffic like? Were you swerving in and out or flowing?

Sorry if this sounds like I am dick, but I think we have all been there and done that. Truth hurts. Sorry about the ticket. Oh, all city cops aren't horrible.

I've seen the state patrol chopper flying around the 694/35E interchnage the past few days. Kinda sucks having to keep an eye in the sky for smokeys too.

I haven't had any problems with the city cops in over five years; however, the suburban cops drive around with their X and KA band radars on, pulling over the unlucky bastaches that does not have a radar detector. mad

I hate tickets...I hate cops...but, not all of them are bad. wink

YA, I just picked up the escort passport 8500 last night, $300! a LOT of money! but it saved my friend last night. i was following my friend out here in Eden Prairie, i told him to lead and that if i got any warnings on the pasport the i would bright flash him. sure enough someone else up the road gets the cop to use his radar, although we couldnt see it cause it was too far ahead. all of a sudden the passport starts screeming K........, i bright my friend and we both slow down. laugh

...Sucks about the ticket, I work with the pilot that 'pinched' you, he is a very cool guy. The helicopter that got you is called "Trooper 9", I have been up for 3 ride-a-longs in it in the past. Very fun. Now you know why those short, perpendicular white marks are on the side of the road at 1/4 mile intervals!... laugh

Since they are illegal, strobes will attract the wrong kind of attention in any city, that is, unless you are trying to get the attention of teenage girls.

Well, I will state that strobes should not be on a car, as they are distracting and can cause some people to have seizures.

However, I also believe that the police having helicopters to monitor traffic is government overintruding in the lives of citizens. Unless the police have a warrant from the court, citizens should have the right to be free from that type of surveillance, or any other police surveillance that is beyond casual contact (they're driving down the road and you're driving down the road). This includes police in stationary speedtraps.

They should also repeal the front license plate requirement.

Bummer on the ticket.

WOW!!!!! That was deep!

Anyways, I suppose someone is going to say, "Don't tear up Red Rock and let us race down there!" Well sorry, they aren't going to listen.

One thing, please don't diss the cops, criminal justice major right here. Yes, some are bad, but not all.
