Hi all!

I didn't even know that there was a MN forum until about 10 mins. ago and I have been looking at the contour site for months! (thanks escort1991) Anyways,I am currently living in St.Cloud, but am moving down to Mpls in May and it would be nice to talk cars this summer with the local MNn's. This is my current car situation:
-1998 Silver Frost SVT (bought 7/00)
- Snow tires and steels wheels(uugh! mad )
Mods:
-Superchip laugh
Future Mods(before summer):
-KKM
-remove resonator
-tint windows
-17-18" wheels
-BAT Euro. Handling kit
-something with the brakes, but not sure yet...
Moving on, If anyone wants to trade tips or advice, PM me.

Like I said earlier, Welcome. There are a few people who chat in this forum quite a bit, me being one of them. Just some quick tips when posting a topic do a search first(upper right hand corner).

Other than that, I'm tired and I need sleep.

Welcome...

You wouldn't happen to be related to Paul Vashro, would you? I worked with him at Mesaba Airlines.

It would be fun to all hook up sometime this summer and do a drive somewhere or just get together and shoot the breeze.

Yes, I am related to Paul, he is my dad's cousin, so he is ummm, well he is one of those cousins we all have and never really talk about... Ya know? shocked Kidding. He is good people though. I just bought a used KKM w/heat sheild from the classifieds for $65, I figured, it can't be a bad investment with the superchip. Hey, what do you all think about the superchip? I hear mixed reviews on it and I am a bit scetchy about it in my car. No probs. at all yet, and that is what makes me scetchy... eek confused

Hi Chuck!
I visit this website often. They have good ideas to help fix/modify your Contour.
Recently I found new floor mats that match my contour on ebay. Ford doesn't sell them anymore so I was able to get them for $24. Ebay is great!
Welcome!

That's cool. I got along with him real well. He's very easy going and nice to talk to. As far as the superchip goes, you're right, seems to have very mixed reviews, just like the Diablo chip. It seems like if either chip is burned just right you can see some gains out of it, plus you eliminate the stock redline limit as far as I know. Others though say they haven't had any gains and some even have engine problems after installing them requiring that they be sent back to be either reburned or exchanged. I personally would spend the money on some other mod. My two cents... wink

Hi Chuck and welcome! As far as the superchip, it seems that your engine code determines how much of a performance gain/loss you get. Do you happen to know yours?
