Hey man I know how you feel I got pulled over 4times in 1 weekend. 1st time- 1am I was jsut cruising and a ****IN SWAT Van (I'm not kidding) pulled me over, I got a $110 fine for having red nozzles, and he wanted to give me a ticket becasue my badge says Mondeo instead of Mystique. 2nd time- Cruisin wiht some friedns a cop sees me and pulls a U-turn and flys after me and pulls me over for no reason. Luckly I didn't get any tickets this time. 3rd time- I was on my way to my firends house and after I pulled in i notcied a cop car on the street, I wnet into her house and about 10min later she calls me and tells me to go outside, so I walk out and tehre is 2 cruisers sitting at teh bottem of her driveway running my plates, so they hassle me for a bit then they leave. 4th time- My friends tranny went in his SVT so we were sitting in a parking lot waiting for the tow truck and as luck would have it 2 cruisers saw us so they came over and started picking out petty this wiht our cars, when he got to mine he was said" take out teh clear signals, red side-markers, and what the hell is wiht this wing?" so I decided to be a smart ass and I told him "Well officer my back end was very twitchy after I installed my turbo and 200shot of NOS" He wasn't very pkleaed so he made me pop my hood, u should have seen the look on his face. *AHH THE JOYS OF BEING A19 YEARS OLD BLACK KID WIHT A MODIFIED CAR, IN A TWON WHERE THERE IS ONLY A HAND FULL OF BLACKS.

Well not all law enforcement officers are d*cks. Have you ever got pulled over going like 95 in a 55 and they just gave you a ticket for 65 in a 55(does not go on your record). I got pulled over by a state trooper about a month ago and she told me I was goin 80mph on 94 and she decided to give me a ticket for 10mph over. I have had my run ins with bad cops looking for kids but they are just doing their jobs, just like anyone else does theirs.

Yo JontourSVT you sound like a real hard ass LOL. My major is Criminal Justice I am atleast going to be one of those troopers you talked about hopefully something better than a trooper. You need to chill out he had a burnt out bulb it could have happened anytime. I think alot of cops think they are hard guys when really they aren't they just are king **** cops that have nothing better to do than to pull someone over for a bulb instead of doing something productive. If the trooper is a good cop he would know if someone might be drunk and driving. I'd like to have a go at some of the cops that pulled me over when they aren't in uniform and then see how tough they are!
And I don't want to hear a *****y response for jontour cause hes said enough to prove that he is a by the book kinda guy!

Boy this one sure got a lot of people out. I've never seen this many people on this forum. Too bad we just cna't get together for a MN rally and show off all these bad ass cars everyone's been talkign about. I'd personally love to see some of the mods you guys/girls have done. Anyway cops can be pricks and they can be really nice, (some are a bit of both depending on what their pet peeves are) They are usually just doing their jobs. There are laws that they have to enforce. It would be like a ref not calling offsides at a football game. It may not seem like a big deal but it could lead to serious consequences if not taken care of.

jlanger... wait until Spring!
Since you came here, we have had one in late October.
Of course, if someone else wants to be the one to set something up... I'll gladly not try to arrange.

It's funny you say 'doing something productive'. Well if you are to be a cop in PA or anywhere for that matter, then you will soon learn that 'doing something productive' is producing numbers.
Whether those numbers are drunk arrests, felon stops, possible DUI's, speeding tickets, minor infractions or accident reponses, numbers will get you promoted.
I think a lot of people here are not seeing/trying to see this from a law enforcement perspective, rather just their own, and that makes it hard to understand why cops act the way they do.
Good luck with your CJ degree.

Jontour, I think you're hitting the mail on the head to prove my point. Even in areas without specific quotas, numbers are still considered to be an important part of your performance. This is the wrong way to rate how good a law enforcement officer is.
The problem is that a lot of people (myself at times included) blame the messengers (the cops) for what is a fundamentally screwed up law enforcement system, combined with screwed up laws that facilitate that system.
The whole legal/law enforcement system needs to be radically overhauled to put the best interests of society in the forefront, and not get lost in the pettiness it currently is constantly embroiled in. I think we need to keep a bigger picture in mind.
