RT, The dash recall can be done at any dealer. And yes they should have done it when your car was in for service at that time. Have a dealer check and repair or replace the dash. Should be a no cost fix. My prob was that the dome light swich in the door went bad and I was close to 36,000 and it was going to be 2 weeks before.I could get an appmnt. By that time I had 36,103miles and they said it was out of warranty. I kept calling and telling them I was getting close but they said no problem. Only to find out it was a problem. I got it covered but not before saying I was going to call the consumer guy at the t.v. station.

On the hotels... I know they are arranging blocks at two hotels this time, the Clarion (where SZ2001 was held) and a second one right there. More information should be right after the turn of the year, from what I've heard.

Bruce, don't let a modless car keep you from coming... come anyway! It's a blast.

RT... fun run through Chicago traffic, who ME? :p

Also, on the dash... have a dealer run an OASIS for you... you could be on the recall list, but never got the notice through screw ups somewhere along the way from mail room to mail box.

Unfortunately, it's not just Ford, and not just cars. My grandma got screwed out of $900 on a furnace repair. When it's November and you don't have heat for almost 2 weeks, though, you don't have much position to work with. Just a shame you have to be prepared to be an utter b**** in this day and age not to be treated as a doormat.

On the scheduling, last year we left Thursday morning and came back Monday. Let's see what the event calendar looks like, and flesh out a plan from there.
