the weak horn is a $12 fix. I augmented my horn within two weeks of getting the car (I was used to the better horn in my 97 GL). You people who complain really have no excuse... smile

Most favorite:
great sounds
great seats

Least favorites:
crappy build quality (rattling interior, cheap materials)
FWD.

I used to complain about backseat lighting also, but the $20 Mystique dome light fixes that problem.

Favorites:

-Exhaust note (@6700rpms!)
-Looks; I always second glance behind me after parking
-Cornering
-The "feel", can't really describe it, go really fast on a sweeper...the weight shifting...the stability...feels good...
-interior looks, especially the seats
-the power: not hugely riduculus, but the perfect amount to enjoy everyday

Dislikes:

-Tranny, 'specially The Shift Into Second
-can't find anything in the back, in the dark, using only the sense of sight.
-can't see my guages too well at dusk or dawn with the lights on without adjusting the dimmer.

The handling and acceleration are my favorite features.

My least favorite feature is the biodegradable wiring harnesses!

Pro: The way it drives and the used price (good for second owners that is!!!)

Con: The hanging spectre of major MTX and/or Engine failure our cars seem to have a propensity for....

Favorite: The nice sound the engine made.

Least favorite: Pathetic rear seat room (later remedied).

Yeah I'm with ya on the Ford customer service issue. Why is it that the big 3 have such bad customer service?

Well - I must say mine is the worst car I ever loved. After all these years I still love driving it

Favs:
well contented 97 SE with most all the options
good power
great handling
sounds great

Least Fav Options I got (with only 67ish k miles):
the fragmenting w/p option
the crumbling main cat option
the breaking front springs option
the dead starter the day after X-mas option
the dead O2 sensors option
the clunking front sway link option

97 SE MTX, KKM, UR UDP, 19# Injectors, SVT TB, SVT UIM, SVT Flywheel, Grizzly Street Clutch, Upgraded motor mounts, mystifed precats, brand new main cat, SVT exhaust sans resonator, 205-55-15 Dunlop SP5000's

154hp / 156 tq before the SVT exhaust, SVT dual honed upper and swapping the mystery main cat for mystery precats.
