Favs:
- looks (styling)
- quick, strong engine
- the very quick responses you get in emergency maneuvers (sp?)
- four doors and five REAL seats

Least:
- fact that my car didn't come with the folding rear seats option. I've needed it many times.
- the keyless entry doesn't work like the manual says (I have remote trunk release? Where?) (Note: dealer-installed aftermarket system; not the SVT system.)
- no power seats
- that stupid rotten egg smell after hard driving
- Contour gets no respect

My horn is pretty loud, albeit drone-sounding.

Favorites:
the engine/power/handling (SVT)
the transmission/shifter (GL)
the seats! (SVT)

Dumb things:
the stereo (SVT or GL)
flimsy cover over spare tire (SVT)

no power options (GL)

yeah, i love mine - and heres an idea, next time you replace the bulbs, drop a cap and a diode in there to hold a charge a few minutes after the power is gone!

Things I like about my 97 zetec:

- reliable powertrain
- excellent handling
- killer A/C
- "Sport" package..tach, folding rear seat, tilt, etc. (items not found on A LOT of zetec contours)
- it's paid for laugh

Things I don't like:

- lack of power
- stupid cranks used to recline the front seats mad
- all around fit & finish
- orange peel exterior paint
- depreciation
- people mistake it for an ESCORT

Over all, I'm happy with my Contour, even though it's short in the power department. But for a daily driver, I couldn't ask for more. cool

Well, my contour doesn't have most of those things ya'll listed. I like some stuff in mine though, like the steering wheel, gas pedal, engine, transmission, and anything else that makes it move. I will continue liking it as long as it moves.

Dislikes:

Stupid flimsy dual cupholders that brake, now I only have the one big one.

A little buzzy dash noise when its cold (below 40 degrees, but goes away when the cabin warms up.)

Serpentine belt access.

Likes: Hmmm...just about everything else! wink
