Most respectfully disagree. Those of us who have cleaned it know better. The improved performance is most noticable in the light to mid throttle range.
When I was a tune up technician years ago, I was always pleasantly surprised at how much better a car ran after cleaning the carburator. The main thing then as now was the improved airflow through a cleaner, slicker surface.

for me after the test drive, just the same fast performing SVT I drive each day.
By the way, I hope you're not suggesting comparing a TB to a Carb because the only similarity between the two is the fact they allow air to enter the motor according to drivers input, other than that there is none. Cleaning a carb will no doubt make a difference if it needed it, any mechanically inclined person knows that!
