It's worth paying a fee for me just for the entertainment value. There have been plenty of things that I've learned and been helped out with, but I almost always know that if I'm bored I can come on here and there is something good to read. laugh

Hell, I don't see how it would be any different than a magazine subscription...its just that there are hundreds of writers instead of just a handful.

I would have no problem paying a monthly/yearly fee myself. The problem with it is that it will discourage many new and current users. Many of the people who visit here and answer questions, the basis that makes this site so great will be lost.

Well, since I read that little snippet before about having the other site getting flooded with members I PM'd Cardoctor over there to see what they can handle. The server they are on has 4GB of open space and also their bandwidth limit is 300GB per month of traffic. Sounds like someone was more prepared for a flood than everyone thinks.

Plus the fact that Cardoctor wants to have a full running photo gallery for everyone's car. Sounds like he's trying to make a great site. Gee - Do you want to try to save the Titanic (sorry sounded good) or make a great site out of one already operating??????

Sorry to sound crude, but to lose the info because of ignorance doesn't just hurt us, but the people that haven't discovered either site yet.

John

P.S. If you have questions why not just PM him directly on his site? I'm sure he could fill you in.

I hate to say this but I would not pay a subscription fee for this or any other site I am currently on. However I will give donations when I know exactly what it is going toward (new server/bandwidth/whatever) as Lance has done in the past when new things are needed.

That's going to be a hard bargain for alot of people here Ratchie, especially (I'm assuming) Lance as well.

That's almost like asking General Lee if he'd like a nice home in Pennsylvania to replace the one that got torched cool

Well...thanks for the praying everyone... I got a call from my boss today telling me they are no longer going to lay me off. Now, I just hope they move the T1 to the new house.
