I can only imagine that they get dirty from the PCV system. Have you thought about an open atmosphere setup? If the gains you're describing are true, it might be well worth your while.

If the gains you're describing are true, it might be well worth your while. Josh, In the Duratec, you have two "gunk" factors. The hot sooty gases from the EGR, and the hot oily vapors from the PCV. Mix those together and you have some wonderful gunk! On top of that, the secondaries, in most cases, are closed most of the time. This gunk builds up really bad on the secondaries. I say we start pretty early so we can do everyone's cars. Let's start with the oldest ones first. -Chris

Hey guys, I would like to try and get down there for this. I was pissed I had to cut my Ennis trip short due to my alternator going bad. My plugs are good, but I need wires, can anyone recommend a decent, but cheap, set? As for the UIM/TB cleaning, what would I need to bring of my own?
