I had the mintex pads on my VW, I thought they were great with almost no dust. They are kind of a cross between race and street. You have to be careful because some aftermarket pads require time to warn up, so when you go to stop for the first time on these cold texas mornings you might get a surprise. I had no problems with the mintex.
I plan to get them for my SVT. Also If I were you I would do the work myself, its easy and make sure you get the rotors turned, its around $7 each. If you are lost paying $50 or so for the maintenance book is a excellent investment.
