hey dig this...
there is a silver tour (SE i think) that works on Barrington rd. in Schaumburg... over by the old KMart.
anyway i need to take a closer look but i would swear she has a non-svt front end with a splitter.
i thought it looked pretty sweet if i do say so myself.
according to Hightower this mod is pretty hard to do as the bolt up pattern has to be completely re-done.
anyone else seen a splitter on a SE or LX bumper?

Tim, that is totally tripped out! Are you sure of this? I've never seen a not-SVT with a splitter.

Was it a SPLITER or was it an extra little lip on the bottom of the bumper. Some of the pre98 had an extra lip on the bottom of the bumper. Yo dan if you have a pic of your front end post a pic because i know you had it.

yeah all pre 98's are the same. mine and dans may have looked closer to the ground because of the se springs. todras and a guy from colorado have added an additional piece from a early mystique to the bottom of their se bumper to make it look lower. maybe thats what you are thinking of. peace.

so i swung by the car again last nite...
it is a 98+Se judging by the headlights, it has some sort of body kit on it.
front bumper is not as low as a SVT but it does have a "lower lip" like a splitter. it appears to be one solid peace though. i didn't feel like crawling under a strangers car to verify.
the back bumper looks like a SVt knock-off...
it has the indentations where the rear mesh would go, but the opening is not cut out. as well the dual exhaust cut outs are not full circles only half moons with the tailpipes sticking out the bottom.
all in all it looked good. i will try to find this girl to get more info.

I THINK WE HAVE A WINNER FOLKS!!! see its not exactly a match to the SVT. i have never seen that rear before. is that a kit or stock on a late model SE or what.
