All 3 guesses are wrong.

Eclipse did not have a 6 (new one does, but no turbo)

Talon never had a 6 either

RX-7 uses a rotary engine, does not even have cylinders.

My guess is a V6 Mustang with a turbo on it. But it could be something different...he said '6-banger'. Never said V6. Could be an inline-6.
