Comparing a Lightning to a Contour is like Elephants and Leopards. I like the old Lightnings with the 351's. 
2000 SE fleet, V6, ATX, ABS, no spoiler, T-Green/tan. Built 01/2000 in MO.
Added 12 spoke factory SE rims, K&N. Biggest mod: ESP Plan!

99 svt contour
-its fast. period.
91 mustang gt
-its faster. period.

- its way faster, double period!

I think its a 330ci? Spree, your car is nice, and would kick my ass in the twistes, and so would a Honda civic, so nothing new there, 1/4 mile not a chance...you can piss me off, but dont piss off my truck! Ill be at Byron this year, so I hope to see you there. We can make some turns in the parking lot...hehe Tell you the truth, the suspension on this truck is way way tighter then I would have ever have thought...its all in all a nice ride.

i've read that the lightning is a pretty impressive handler for a pickup, but it wouldnt meet my demands is all  with enough mods, i could run even with/or even beat a lightning, but then comparing stock to modifed is a whole nother can o crap. not to mention the lightning's WAY supurior cargo capactity ill run ya just for a laugh, wanna race in the rain or snow?, or gravel?, or dirt? or ice?, or.... :p mark "full of shyts and giggles"

The old Lightnings had 5.8L (351 ci) push rod V8, the current ones have 5.4L DOHC V8's. Guy I work with had old black one and now has a newer silver one.
Would like to see a WRX and Lightning race!
