AMEN! Small displacement motors work BEST with a stick shift, not fat torque converter to rob power. Practice makes perfect as always, in a few months of daily driving, you'll have no troubles.
The old integra is a great performer for a 4 cyl car. Just be careful, dont abuse it, and it should last forever too!
See you at the autocrosses this summer!

Mark -- doesn't a torque converter effectively double your torque off the line or somethin like that?!

probably, but you have to get it spinning first. plus, for racing and such, no street torque converter ever fully locks (i think). At least not yet.

Its just that the whole clutch/flywheel wheighs less and has less parasitic loss than a torque converter when bolted to a small motor.

ron, in no way was i saying "a tiny motor with a stick is the best you can get!" I totally agree with the ol' saying, there is no replacement! wink

"For anyone who doesn't have a stick shift car...get one!"

I recommend it to any young car fans too.

BTW: The 500 will make our cars look like Tempos. Also, I'm waiting to see if the Mondeo also is brought over as a Mercury. When the new Ford cars come, I plan to move on.
