probably, but you have to get it spinning first. plus, for racing and such, no street torque converter ever fully locks (i think). At least not yet.
Its just that the whole clutch/flywheel wheighs less and has less parasitic loss than a torque converter when bolted to a small motor.
ron, in no way was i saying "a tiny motor with a stick is the best you can get!" I totally agree with the ol' saying, there is no replacement!
