In light of recent developments, I am now fully convinced that we ought to impose some new norms in the CCEG. I think that Kevin should be given full and unlimited rights to remove any person deemed offensive and counterproductive, to the majority of members, from the CCEG. In addition, his/her posts should be boycoted; ignored; deleted and totally made invisible by the members of this club. I am in this club for two very important reasons, and them being the appreciation of the Contour, and other the chance to be friends with the people who value the same beliefs as I do. To be in the club with people who use it as an opportunity to bash all I believe in, and all I work for is both offensive and derogatory to me and all those that believe and work for similar beliefs. I believe that this club should remain dedicated to the fraternization of Contour owners and the furtherment of the car itself. Any attempt to undermine out goals and beliefs should be deemed offensive and unwarranted, and deemed to be provocative and aggressive in nature. After all, if an opportunity for the defamation and slandering of our cars and our beliefs exists in the very forum that is dedicated to them, than this club is of no use. I've noticed this priorhand and it bothered me, but it was never within the ranks of the CCEG. Now that it hit home, it is time to act. Peace to all of you, and down with the haters!

True, but that is overdoing it. I think people need a friendly reminder of the rules. Friendly jokes is one thing, but immaturity is another. We're all here for the same cause....so why are we arguing? I think I said it best in your previous thread: Why must we always argue [fight]?

Dan, I agree w'you. But you see, as I stated boforehand, the pupose of this club is not to denounce the car as a POC, or as worthless, but to appreciate it. As I said it before, if a person doesn't like their car, then all they have to do is sell it. I don't see a reason to keep it and ***** and moan constantly about its defects. Nobody ever suggested that Contours are the most quality cars out there, but to constantly complain and keep it suggests a mental deficiency of staggering proportions... This has to stop!!!

well being that the other topic was closed im going to post here. so i give my opinion on modding a contour and saying that i dont feel its worth putting money into a contour is worth it, and now everyone takes offense of it? i did not bash anyone or their car. i didnt point a finger and say your are dumb for putting this or that on your car and contours suck. i never said contours suck. please point that out where i said that. i have a lot of positive things to say about the contour in general... im not trying to be a dick or anything but thats how i feel about trying to make the contour fast.
next thing.. i may come off negative about my contour. there is a reason to that... ive had tons of problems with the car. ive never came on here and *****ed abnout it. ive mentioned a long time ago that i wanted to get rid of it for something else. if you want me to give you a list of problems ive had then just a ask... ive had major problems with the car.
as far as the rules go... if thats what you guys want then so be it. you guys have to learn to deal with peoples opinions on things in life like a car for example. not everyone is going to kiss a$$ to anyone about their cars. if i dont like a rim someone chose, spoiler they put on or whatever.. if i dont think it looks nice, guess what.. im going to express my opinion.
if you want me to stop posting on here on stay on the other site then thats cool. the other site i go on offers a lot more to its members than what this site does. they had there own area at the World of Wheels, have track rentals, dyno days, group buys and more to offer its members. i invited you guys to come out and join that group because it is more local and there are cool things the club offers. so if you guys dont want to hear my opinions just say so.

If you wanted to sell your car, there are plenty of people out there that want one. One of our new members went as far as PA to get one, and you can't sell your car?! OK. :rolleyes:

Then you say how everyone has to kiss ass on the CCEG...

Then you say again how the other site is better....

But since you are here, let me ask you a question. WHY THE **** ARE YOU HERE MAN??? Every reply that you make is negative and derogatory, and then you come back and say that WE are the ones that are MISUNDERSTANDING YOU, and are TOO SENSITIVE... Whatever man!

You asked us if we wanted you to stop posting, and to answer your question, I would be glad to see you leave. You are not a member anyway, as you never even bother to show up at the meets anyhow.

If you like the other place so much, than stay there, and save your shallow comments for them. But this is not going to happen, since the main reason for your presence here is to cause havoc and flamewars. You will not give us the pleasure, now will you?

I urge you to leave on your own, or face the shameful exit that will surely follow your attempts to cause more trouble. It is obvious to all of us that you have no place here, and that you long ago convinced us that you want nothing to do with us.

Be a man and respectfully withdraw yourself from the club, and concentrate on being a full member of the other place.

And I also urge you to sell that special car you call a 'beater'. It has no place in your life either...

ok man.. for one... i do go the meets. i was at the first one you ever attended too. ive been here way longer than you have. as far as my car goes, ive had a bad experience with it multiple times. ive read what ive said and dont see where i am bashing the contour. i say i dont see the point in trying to make it fast. thats the point im saying in my posts.

LOL right. for your info, i never tried selling the contour. like ive said way before you ever came on this site, i like the car. regardless... why do i come on this site.... well for one ive been coming here way before you ever showed up... made some friends, help out others with their contours, went to meets ect. any other questions? oh ya, i will continue to go on the other site, thanks for telling me that

i agree w/ milan, i too have noticed that some people take this website for granted and use it as a tool of negativity...i am apart of this web site to meet people and gain knowledge of what i drive... i love my svt and anyone who doesn't can keep that opinion to yourself....not that your opinion doesn't matter, but it is counter-productive...i think we should all try to be adults most of the time and avoid these verbal confrontation that seem to clog up a tread w/ drama...if i want drama, i'll go see my g-friend.....so if people could keep their negative, antagonistic comments to themselves, i think most of the ceg memebers would appreciate it...

Well, this is my 3rd (read that t-h-i-r-d) Contour SVT in the last three years, so I know full well the stuff about them.

Second, YOU were the one that asked us if we wanted you to stop posting, and I merely answered the quesiton...

But - exactly as I predicted, it was lousy ass bluff on your spineless behalf. Nobody is threatening you pal, so don't come back and make this personal. I will repeat that YOU are the one that started this **** in the first place and you are the one that should be making apologies.

HUMM this site doesnt offer as much as your does huh. Well the last time i checked this was a CONTOUR site not an all ford site. Thats the difference between the 2 number 1. Number 2 we also have dyno days its just that you dont go becuase your to wraped around Midwest. Number 3 WOW humm i could of sworn a bunch of us went to it. Wait we saw you there but guess what, I didnt see your car in the show did i miss it. Who cares if they had there own section, did they win anythig, I think not. The funnyest thing is that you keep saying your stang is so quick and what not. Yes it is compared to a Contour but guess what its 2 differnt cars and engines and so on. Lets put into words which maybe anyone can understand. Go to a WS6 website and talk this smack about how fast your rustang is and then we shall see whos SLOW. :rolleyes:

So what if it ain't a V8 Pony car? We don't buy a car just for it's 1/4 times. I actaully had some jerk at work (who's connected to Midwest Fords BTW) slam me since I wanted a Duratech! ["get a f**kin stang" I was told, like "get a horse" in the first days of cars]

If you think it's a waste, so what? Some of my city friends, who never drive, think buying ANY car is a waste. It's a free country and we do what we want with our money.
