My info re 'the cone',is based on the number of pumps I've checked on customer cars, just as a 'please check the pump' along with those that have had a new, be it stoc or metal pump fitted as a preventative measure.Those that have had fried motors due to the pump ,all but one had both components fail..the impeller was broken and the cone was loose.Just relaying what I've seen first hand.TH
