I found a truthful review of the Civic Si on a British car website. Over there Hondas aren't worshipped, and the Mondeo riens surpeme!

Tells it like it is and doesn't give in to Honda Hype. "A shopping car that handles" is what it is called. Also: "The VTEC screams like an pre-pubescent pig."
Take that ricers!

Wow!!!!!

Not used to seeing reviews like that one. Good find and good reading.

I find the comment on the high end power pretty interesting. The engine really picks up after 6000 RPM's but peak torque is hit at 5900 RPM's. He also states that the "power peak" can't be utilized easily in every day driving. I find that interesting. The SVT begins to perk up at 3900 RPM's and that can certainly be used in everyday driving. I can't imagine having to wait until 6000 RPM's for some action. eek

The new Si's look like Deawoo rejects and the shifter looks like it belongs on a Fisher Price toy.

My best bud who had a 92 Si and loved it, dislikes the 2002 Si.

Someone needs to remind Honda that redlines are usually only lowered in order to increase low-RPM torque.

"It's a well engineered shopping car with bolt on bits to excite spotty teenagers."

*ROFLMAO* .

Wow! That's a pretty rough statement. Way to go Honda!

You've gotta give Honda credit. They are keeping up very well with their competition on the ugliness front. It's just performance that they're lacking...
