SVT Focus impressions good write up...i think the notchy shifter is a specialty of ford if not all american manufacturers....i dont have any experience with contour mtx but my bro's 2k2 mustang gt is very vague....i couldn't really go balls out when he let me drive it because i couldn't find second gear and so on when it was shift time
a friend i use to have got an 84 t-bird turbo coupe when he turned 18 yrs ago ( his dad was a ford dealer)...that shifter would also cause u to lose precious seconds trying to find the proper gear
