Those gay FWD Honda's with the huge stupid looking front tires are just...gay. IMO.

I will not drag my car at all. My car was made for autocrossing/street racing only. Besides what's more fun...going 112 MPH for 1/4 mile or doing 112 around twisties for a few hundred miles...i'll take the twisties.

To each his own though people.

WORD!
1 I don't know you and I know you are not new here but your car as you bought it was not desigened for auto X or street racing.
2 only way you are gonna break anything drag racing is if you don't know how to drive it.
3 I drag race my tour and have never broke a thing. only tour I know that have borken anything say it was nothing to do with drag racing, it had to do with doing something they knew they shouldn't of done.
4 go ahead and auto X your car and tell us when you roll it, destroy your suspension, or blow your steering and come back and ask us how to fix it.[/b]
so since i had a ton of problems with my car that means i cant drive? how does my fuel pump have to do with that? or how abouto2 sensors? i have bigger things that went out on the car. the reason your car hasnt broke from drag racing is cause its too slow to break anything jk i dont think your points are accurate...

My fuel pump broke once while i was going like 32 mph on a sub-hwy... not while i was drag racing..... that isnt related to racing at all, just luck of the draw, so to speak, you never know when those are going out...

1. I wasn't trying to piss anyone off...but I usually do. Like I said this was my opinion.

2. The damn car was made more for auto crossing/streetracing vs. friggen drag racing.

3. I'm smart enough to know thier is a HUGE difference between the way you drag race adn the way you Auto x. Besides proper car setup the only thing you have to be able to do is:
a. have a fast reaction time at the start and know when to dump the clutch/shift.
b. know you car and exactly when to shift to give your car the maximum speed with minimum effort/time.
c. brake after the 1/4 mile is through.

yeah, I'm sure there are alot more "little" things I forgot but the general idea is gas, shift & brake only.

In drag racing you need to know nothing about the "apex", braking...braking has absoulty nothing to do with slowing down the car...or proper heel to toe shifting, wieght transfer turning, drifting, proper acceleration from a turn...oh yeah, they don't have turns in drag racing, i forgot. Before you open your mouth, or fingers...and say I can't drive, you better think about what your saying and who you are talking to young man. Not to piss off any Zetec owners but...you only have a Zetec, not an SVT.

Word.

Yeah drag racing EVERY DAY for hours on end is bad, but occasional drag strip use isn't much different than racing on the street.

besides why did you waste your money on a Zetec Contour for drag racing. you could have spent the same money on a variety of used RWD vehicals...such as a Mustang LX 5.0 with WAY more HP than yours...just a thought.

jesus christ i think that it is up to each person to do with there car as they choose auto x drag race what ever and you dont think its gonna be bad when you spin a f-ing bearing from all the rapid highspeed turns esp you svt boys so each thing has its dangers so leave it alone and everybody can do as THEY wish with ther own god damn car ... not trying to be a dick but all you guys do is ***** so you go auto x ill drag race and everybody can be a bunch of happy a$$ holes!

I never said you can't drive. if your car was built for auto X then why must all these people on here that do it change out the suspension???
and THANK GOD I don't have an SVT.... sorry to the few SVT owners that are not stuckup because they have a 3 letter badge on the back of their car. if I had to do it all again I would buy ANOTHER Zetec tour... never heard of a Zetec blowing up.... Duratec can't count how many have.
and EXCUSE ME "young man"?!?!?!? WTF I am 24 almost 25 that isn't young.
nice of you to think I am some dumb kid cause I drive a zetec.
