The sun was hitting my guage cluster just right the other day and I noticed there is a cruise control light (oposite side of the stearing column as the CEL and Coolant lights). I've got a 96, my wife has a 95 and neither of them have this light come on when using cruise control. Is there a way to use it? A reason why it doesn't come on?

That is odd. The Contique's cruise control module didn't have the logic to use that light until some time around 2000MY. My 1999 doesn't use it, but I'm pretty sure there were at least some that did before the car went out of production.

There's a pin in the connector on the cruise control module which the Haynes manual shows is for the cruise control light (since the Mondeo
does have a light).
I've never actually checked to see if there's a wire on this pin. Probably not.
It might be interesting to put a test light on it and see if it lights when the cruise control is turned on.

I have '00 SVT and the cruise light used to work and now doesn't? Add to list of things I need to fix on it...

I have a 95, and my light used to come on when I used the cruise. But my cruise is broken right now, and I haven't gotten around to fixing it.

I have a 2000 SVT, the light does not come on when I use the cruise control. My Ranger had a light for this and I thought it was a very useful feature. Anyone know how to fix this?

I have a 95se and I had never heard of a cruise light before this post.....let alone sen one in my car. I used cruise alot 2 years ago on a trip to Minnesota so if it was in working order I surely would have seen it then!!
95 Teal Se 5 spd,duratech, loaded(except moonroof) no mods.

E0 SVT and 97 GL, both had no cruise light. On the 95, maybe it came with the light package?
