how much is your gas now? In Michigan it's between 2.09 and 5 bucks for premium. I heard that gas in Chicago was like 9 to 11 bucks.

Gas out here on the Iowa-Illinois border is like $4/gallon. OUCH!

Well in Chicago on my way to work the highest I saw was 2 dollars but I'm sure it will jump.

in dekalb the prices have remained at around their normal levels. i think george ryans threat to punish anyone raising their prices for any uncalled for reasons was a good move.

Gas prices in the NW suburbs seemed to all be in line (~$2/gal for premium). I passed about 10 or so stations last night and this morning and nobody was jacking prices, luckily. I did notice last night at 9:30pm that every gas station had cars backed up out every one on to the streets. Looks like every one settled down a bit this morning, as all the gas stations had "normal" looking business. Personally I don't know how an attack by a religious faction group relates to oil prices. :rolleyes: I would expect a spike in oil prices if the attack was originated by an oil producting country, but come on people...think a bit.

Here in Kingston New York, the prices on gas is the same as last week. no price increase here. why should you have to pay more, that sucks!

Gas over by me is 1.95(mid grade). thats was also at 2:45Am. thats when i always get my gas. no ones around and service is quick.

I went out last night around 7:30 and drove by 4 gas stations and all of them had prices of $1.83 and then at 10:00 I drove my the same stations and prices were up to $1.99. 3 of them were near downtown Aurora I dorve my the same stations today about 2pm and they were at $1.83 and one clark station was back down to $1.77.

Supposedly, the reason some palces charges over $3 a gallon, was to prevent "panic buying" or hoarding.
When The Gulf War started in 1991, gas went up 50 cents immediately and GEO Metros sold like crazy, for a week. Then gas came back down and the GEO's piled up as trade-ins for Blazers.
