All in all there are more non-SVT's, IMHO. A rough swag is 2:1 non-SVT to SVT for folks that come out. At the Victor Ford meet 3 or so years ago we had 14 CSVT's show up and filled their service bays and only 2-3 non-SVT's. Seems like I always have something going on that prevents me from showing up to one of the meets, but I am trying...really. Later.

E1 SVT here - black. Looks great when clean, looks like crap when dirty.

Hi again, everyone.

I have a T-Red 98 SVT, but haven't been able to get up to any meets yet. I've been too busy competing the car in IASCA sound quality competitions. 5 wins in 5 tries, including 2 Regional titles (Midwest Regional in Ohio and Southeastern Regional in Georgia) isn't too bad.

Anyway, there is an all-Ford car show coming up at the Uftring Auto Mall in East Peoria on Sunday September 16th. The dealer is about a mile and a half from my house so if anyone needs directions, please ask. In years past it has been a pretty big deal.

Just moved to Naperville from Bartlett. I'm near Brookdale and Raymond. Or Brookdale and 59 I guess. Between Diehl and N. Aurora.

I have a non-SVT. But as I always said, It's not always how fast the car is but how crazy the driver is. laugh

I'm from the Janesville area but I have a SVT I think I might come to more meets once I get the new moter installed in my SVT. Running to the chicagoland area is an easy way to but on those pesky breakin miles.

I'm brand new here, and brand new to my SVT Contour as well. It's a black 2000 I bought on Friday with only 9K on the odo. More power than my '92 Sentra had, to understate it... smile

My salesman (said he posted here about two years ago when he was thinking about an SVT; you out there, Matt?) gave me some good tips on maintaining the car (waxing the wheels, etc.), but I was wondering what those of you here with SVTs Contours are doing to make these gems last. I definitely want it to still be in decent shape at the 100K mile mark.

I noticed there are a few of you in Naperville; I live out in Plano but work at the Jewel at Rt. 59 and 95th St. I drive over 20K miles a year, doubling my concerns about keeping this car pristine.
