I have a question for you..
In your profile you say you have the oldest SVT on the planet, being number 30... doesnt that mean that there are 29 older SVT's before you?? or have they all hit the junker?

actually I've been doing some research on that subjuct. I called the Ford dealer in Washington state where I bought the car...I ended up talking the the same New Car Manager I bought the car from. He remembered my wife and I...they take pictures of every SVT buyer...Anyway...he told me he is going to have to do some research, He said they keep extensive records of all SVT's at this dealership. He was pretty sure mine was one of the first SVT Contours to be used for show's around the country before being sold. He knew mine was a very early edition. It actually sat in their back lot for 9 months before they sold it to me. 444 original miles. Not sure about the other 29 yet, I am expecting email from him later on this week. I'll keep you guys posted!!

Actually, there are some that did not make it to the public. Ford probably used one or two for car magazines and photo shoots, and a few early ones probably got snatched up by tuners and such. Ford's SVT division probably kept a few as well for R&D. So if you have 29, that is probably one of the earliest available to the public (IMHO).
