O.K. next weekend the SVRA is having a vintage weekend at Road America. On Saturday and Sunday they have touring sessions that you can take your car out on the track and zip around. 80mph speed limit, which is B.S. because I've gotten up to 120 (according to co-pilot)down the front stretch and no one said anything to me, but you CAN"T pass in the turns. This is a big no no so don't even try. You'll be black flaged and have to leave the track. Some times you can't pass pace cars but they usually will let you pass if you can catch them Supra Turbos aren't easy to catch with our V-6's. But it is allot of fun and worth the money IMHO.
Now about the auto crossing at Miller Park. It is $35 for non SCCA members and $30 for members, you must have numbers on the SIDE of your car NO-SHOE POLISH ON WINDOWS so if you have statich or magnetic #'s bring them other wise it is duct tape for you. There are two events there a month with the exception of May which there are events every weekend including next weekend. Tech is at 8 a.m. and you should know what class your in G-stock if you are running bone stock(within reason K&N or different tires are O.K.) Street Touring if you cars are lowered 17" rims etc. And then it's off to the races 6 runs and that's all she wrote. It seems like the car to beat in GS (G-stock) is an Eclipse GS-T and in ST (Street Touring) it is ,big suprise an Integra. I haven't run with these guys yet but look forward to it. Events are on Sundays and you have to bring your own helmet. Other wise you have to use openface helmets with spiderwebs in them. Any other info go to www.scca-milwaukee.org some events are put on by WAI- Wisconsin Autocrossers Incorporated but it is pritty much the same deal. Hope to see some of you out there if you have any questions for me my e-mail is jhuibrex@hotmail.com
