Whats funny, is that I am playing with an SUV... wanna play the car game??? Well after getting my insuranced raised once again I should have just bought the SS... we're up to 3,000 a year on a ****ing suv.. how sick is that??? So what is it joe that you would do if you had the money??? All it would do is force me to get the cam, headers, etc.... match low 14's??? maybe a nice 75 shot see ya later!! he he he

The class' will be set up with a half second range. With the racing being heads up in class with the times being this close everyone should have a fair chance. It also could very well end up a Tour vs Tour or GA vs GA match at any point. SVTNOS I am suppling the certificates out of my own pocket. This way the winner at least has something to show for it. That is the best I can do as I dont have the money to supply trophies. If this goes well enough and there is enough interest. If we do this again next year and can get enough cars there maybe the track might be willing to supply some trophies. As for Byron I think the track is a very nice track and unlike others you dont have to worry about piece of sh*t thieves there. TheyCallMeSteel unless your 5.9 Cherokee is modified it will not "smack up" a 99 and up stock GA GT. We have a stock Dakota RT in the club. So I know the engine a little bit. Stock to stock they are similar times and I am willing to beat your Cherokee weighs a little more. As for the aftermarket. I think you need to look again. There is a descent amount of stuff to choice from and the list of companies and parts available to these cars is growing quickly.

FastTrnsam, I am sure that I am rather nieve when it comes to the after market of the grand am.. however I dont think I will have a problem with STOCK grand am gt's.. whats the fastest stock GT??? 15.7??? 15.5 maybe?? I ran a 15.1 99% stock.. K&N cone.... I will be in the high 14's this time so I think that I can play rather well... ACtually shooting for a 14.8 or better... I know I am not the fastest guy out there between the SVt's and the Grand Am's, but I am rather proud of having an SUV that can run 14's and give some nice cars a run for their money on the street... I ran a 9.5 1/8th mile if it means anything to you...I doubt that a grand am or stock svt can match that... I am not flaming, just defending my position! I am looking forward to seeing this go down... Your also right about the GC weighing more than the R/T.. however my allwheel drive will make up for that weight difference while the R/T is spinning it's tires.... Thats why many STock GC's out run Stock R/T's on the street and strip.... TRACTION ------------------ ~1998 Platinum Grand Cherokee 5.9~

TheyCallMeSteel Not to be an asshole there, but I saw your Jeep run, and it wasnt a 15.1, looked like a mid to high 16 to me. AWD Right? 4X4 w/ Transfer case, how are you gonna put a Jeep in the 14's? I own 3 of them, and all they are is TQ! Not a flame, but ill belive it when I see it. ------------------ Jay (Intersection Killer) 00 'BARTENDER! A Black&Tan' SVT Contour Home Sweet Home www.SVTperformance.com

Two more questions for you... When was I at byron for you to see me??? And if you were one of the Contour SVT's there while I was there.. which one were you?? what did you run.. I know nothing better than me.. Secondly, Explain how I beat NOSSVT off the bottle, if I run 16's??? you are one foolish kid... Talk to 98.5SVT, NOSSVt, they can vounch, **** come over to clubgp.com and talk to those guys over there.. they saw me run and have seen my slips.. dont ever doubt me again....

jsvt, i was there at byron, he did run a 15.1 in the 1/4. i saw you run a 15.5 and black98svt ran a 16.16. im not saying you didn't run a 15.1 cause i left way before the track closed, but the 5.9 did run a 15.1 and he WILL run better on the 12th. if you don't think so, we can make a little bit of a side wajer at the track i'll put up my stereo system for your intake. or money will do. im not trying to come off as an a$$hole either, but you obviously weren't paying very much attention to the board.

Guys, Guys...Ouch, all the harsh words! Save it for the Pontiac and Chebys! I did get my tour down to 15.9 that weekend and then brought her down to 15.6 the next weekend where Jay did rip off a 15.1...******* That was stock, I will have a few mods by the 12th and hope to see the bottom side of the 15's! ------------------ 1998 Black SVT Contour Born on 4/23/97 #433 1996 Mystic Cobra #544

this sucks, i won't be able to make it on the 12th. i thought it was a sunday, but its saturday, that sucks. i wish it could be moved to the 13th, that would be awesome, i'm in a softball league and we have games all day saturday. i will be at hooters though, on the 6th. i am proud to say that nowhere on my car does it say FORD or CONTOUR, only SVT. it looks pretty sweet. a little carbon fiber can go a long way. I believe that j did get a 15.1 but why is it so hard to believe that a gc5.9 couldn't do it. it's a 360cubic in. motor. there is a lot of power behind that truck. it's possible, i know cause i saw it. i'm glad to hear that you broke into the 15's. im praying to break into the 16's with my piece of shlt.
