I look at this as being fun for everyone and a way for all of us to meet each other and not just be the guy at the other end of the computer. Like i said i should have the date VERY soon. I will post it and try to get people to come out to it from both ends of this.

Hey folks, I am one of those freeriding, passive members on the CEG - Chicago area mailing list. My excuse is that I don't have many stories worth telling as I am down here in Hyde Park (where I count my blessings just to go day in and day out without having my car stolen, nevermind racing) . . and this is the nice part of the South Side. Oh, and if the local flavor doesn't get you, the roads surely will!

Thus, while I don't have very much time to organize a fun run, I'd love to have an informal meeting sometime. I am always on the look-out for fellow CEGers, and I know you're out there (just not down in the Hyde Park area).

So if anybody is interested in meeting . . perhaps somewhere after work, I'd be happy to oblige. I would love to talk about cars, and believe me, I could use a change in scenery!

Oh, and by not taking me up on this offer, you will be doing a grave disservice to me, for with each passing day, 20-inch Blades on an Impala look better and better to me.

I now have the Byron IL date. It will be saturday May 12th. The rain date will be saturday May 26th. The club gets to the track between 9:45-10:15am. We will be getting our own class racing out of the way first. That i think should be done by the 12:30-1:00 pm time area. After that we can have are fun. Just tell them when you get to the track that you are with Midwest Racing so that they will give you a card and window number that will allow you to stage in our lanes. Its up to you guys if you want to get there around the time that club arrives or closer to what should be our race time. I still need a contact for the Chicagoland CEG rep. We need to talk over the game plan for get together. I also need to know how many Contour owners plan on showing up now. So please check on to this topic.
