Cheapest I've found it for is at Target. If you're a Costco member, you might get lucky there. Sometimes they have it, usually they don't.

Not sure about your area, but I always get my Mobil 1 from Wal Mart. They consistently have the best prices out here. Especially if you catch them discounting the 5 qt jugs.

I checked Wally-World today, they wanted $30 for a 6qt case, I'm sure I can find it cheaper than that somewhere. btw, thx krafty, I'm gonna check costco sometime this week.

The Target prices seem to bounce between $2.95 qt and $4.20. I bought 7 qts when it was $2.95, I shoulda bought 30.

Sam's Club near Summit Place Mall in Pontiac/Waterford has cases (6 qts) for $23.39, in several viscosities including 5W30 and 10W30. Some of their stock is the old Tri-Synthetic formula (API SJ rated) and some is the new SuperSyn formula (SL rated). Costco on Telegraph north of Square Lake (Bloomfield) also has cases for $23.39.
I haven't seen it for $3 a quart at my local Target in at least a year.
The Wal-Marts near me never seem to have the 5-qt. jugs.
FWIW, some of the newer SL-rated conventional oils offer very similar characteristics and performance to 'full' synthetics such as Mobil 1, at a fraction of the cost. E.g. Chevron Supreme and Citgo Supergard, both hydrocracked using base 2 or 3 stocks and both just over a buck a quart.
