FWIW, my wife's pickup has had the front windows tinted 20% to match the factory rear tint for over 3 years and 53k miles. Never pulled over once. I had 35% tint all around on my SVT for about a year and 18k miles also with no issues. In fact, both myself and my wife ave been pulled over in it (by city cops) and the tint not mentioned. Easy money if you ask me.

honestly, cops usally dont even care about tint, they only want to be able to see the driver, not a shadow or an outline, the lowest i would go is 30% all the way around. my brother has 35% all around in his integra type r and has been pulled over many times but not for the tint.(just don't do the windshield). i have cstom reflecive silver and black tint all the way around and haave not been pulled over yet.

They need to make the rule "must have windows down when pulled over" I had a note from the doctor and it wasnt good enough. Mike is right...they have a form that you need to have filled out with all different measurements on it. Who cares....get pulled over...take the tint off..throw away the ticket and get it put back on for 50 bucks.
