wow, Brian, I would never even consider topping 175 in that car w/ out functional aero aids (like the cobra R wing and splitter) for stability reasons. The aero on typical mustangs causes a whole lot of rear end lift above 160-170. fwiw, you should play the lottery more, with your luck at extremely high speeds, you might win a lot of money, lol.

this is the reason the production car is limited to 155 electronically.

I have more seat time in the 03 than prolly everyone else on this board combined (excepting maybe 2 guys) and I must say that it still impresses the heck out of me every time I drive one.

It had a rear spoiler....but no splitter...it did feel a lil loose at around the 180 mark....but it was liveable.....yea, I kinda have a thing for high speed runs....I love the rush

That rear spoiler does little to combat rear end lift, the only truly functional rear wing put on a factory mustang is the 00 R wing. The rear-end is much looser at those speeds than you realize, though w/ the speedo at ~10mph high like you said, you were only ~170 so you weren't in too bad a range just yet. a little more could have been really bad.

Yea, I had to backout of it...was comming up on traffic a little quicker than expected... laugh good thing it has some killer brakes too.....it is comming back so I will have to retest it...LOL

Well said Aaron laugh Maybe someone should spend more time in QC and less time in the seat. I mean I gotta say the only reason I bought the CSVT over the M3 was price because build quality is important to me. I mean when it comes to "fit and finish" I bet the underhood, undertrunk and drip rails in the trunk are painted in the M3 and yes I do care about that. Do you think BMW would have went with a lesser 6 cyl in their performance car like Ford/SVT did confused No way in hell, so once again some people do care about quality control and thought about what the heck is going into its products...BMW laugh I may not have the seatime, inside info, etc but I do have my opinion and the Cobra will not surpass the Z06 in any catagory except price. Also lets remember that were comparing the top cars here too, because others will say that the Cobra will beat the base C5, do we wanna compare the stock C5 w/ 350 hp to the base Stang GT...I think not :p
