Slow~mo~svt well I see what your saying yes...but one thing that kinda upsets me is when you say how much time and money he has spent into that ride to make it custom....man...how do you know he did it him self? What customs did he do that nobody else could of done in the michigan area tell me this...and by you telling me this that he had this psi and this turbo just proves how much the judges were favoring import or racey kinda of cars.. that proves my point exactly. I'm happy that you guys thought my ride was ok but when you put all your time and think of crazy stuff that has never been done before and you end up doing..people dont really respect that around here. Especially at a lot of car shows. Thats why I win a lot of awards and I receive a lot of respect out of state for the things I do. But hey, its a car show...supposed to have fun right.. I did...and I hope everybody else did...especially with all the fine ass walking around :0)

Do you know anything about the mechanics of a car?
If you are trying to win a "car show" you cant just bondo on a bunch of fiber glass, cover your car in stickers, paint your interior with krylon, buy a huge wing and expect to win.

The judges werent favoring "import or ricey(racey?)" cars. They favored them because these people spent thousands of dollars rebuilding their engines, adding a turbo, and/or having the whole thing powder coated or chromed(not painted with K-mart hi temp paint).

This is the motor city.
bodykits and big wings arent a part of our areas past. Just because you did something different doesnt mean you should win.

I could put an aluminum spoilier on my hood...that'd be different, but I think it'd be pretty stupid.

hmmm so now i'm a jackass huh....well what does it matter if you seen this turbo built by hand or not? And what does it matter to me if his engine was rebuilt? I dont care if you seen it or not...Thats not the point i'm trying to make...If you think all I am is a sticker crazied...buying all apc bolt on parts and say i'm sponsered type of person...then you have another thing going for ya..."throwing some bondo and fiberglass makes you different" hmmmm tell me this....have you done body work? have you shaved your doors yet? changed your front end at all? maybe even your rear? or have you even wet sanded your car before? well if you havent...its not as easy as you think....it does take time to do things right...and doing a MAJOR body mod and Suspension work(which is big in Car Shows National known)and Being the first one ever to do Cylinders on a contour is something that should be respected...if you dont have a clue about air ride work then you just cant understand the work you must go threw to reinforce your whole body and suspension just for it to work...my car was all hand done....dont think anybody else work on my car but me....but i dont want to make an arguement out of this, i really dont..the forums are not made for that...i just wanted to state thoughts and i got some response..now i'm happy...have a great day...

Ok ok, lets all calm downa nd quit the name calling.

Tru ridah - I love yer car and respect all of the work put into it. It's sweet and i do agree you should have got some sort of trophy.

I dont think the problem was judging at all. I think it was categories. There should have been a contour class for one. I've never seen so many contours at a show before. Since there wasnt, I think they should have had a class for any car that had any sort of air ride suspension on it, which would be seperate form the lowrider class due to the fact that it is not a 64 impala or something like that. That way, they could compete with each other on the same level. Thats the problem here. 2 cars in the same class going totally opposite directions in the way the modify their cars. It should never happen.

Anyway, I hope we can all get over this and sort out our differences.

It matters because it shows the dedication that was put into this car, to get it to the point it's at today.

So why are you so pissed Chad won over you? He has MAJOR body work done, AND suspension work, He's changed his front end, his rear, sides. His entire interior, Rims, brakes, and a **** load of other stuff.

Same with Chad.

You're really looking like a jack ass by throwing a fit, simply because someone else won over you. Get over it, do more junk to your car, and better luck next time.

Damn.
