I ordered a set of lower control arms from fordpartsonline.com. They sent me the wrong ones. I will sell a brand new set of the vertical bushing-2 bolt style arms to the first $100. I am trying to avoid sending them back or putting them in the classifieds section where I will just end up shipping them anyway.
FYI. Total cost on the invoice:
Arms:44.49/each 88.98
Shipping: 17.00
Total: 105.98
I will meet anyone/anywhere in the SE area
pm me
Jonathan

These are the front control arms correct? Early style vertical bushings? If so I'll pick them up tomorrow if you want. I'll be in town on my way to Carlisle, PA. Call my cell 616-304-4282

Vertical style 2 bolt is for later Contiques (built after 12/97 or so). Horizontal style is for early cars.

100%, just did the front lower arms on my car this weekend (not a fun project, more on that later in the Suspension forum). Bought a set from a junkyard off a 96 Mystique and they were 4 bolt/horizontal style. The yard listed the cutoff date as 12/97 for horizontal to vertical. Probably are some after that using the old style as stock was used up.

If you really want to know for sure, just crawl under the car and count the bolts in the lower arm. On the driver's side, there will be 2 under the trans and 2 more further back on the subframe if you have the same type as me. I'll be posting pics of my old arms tomorrow when I get a chance.

12/97 is dubious date, as that is the mfg. date of my car. Either way, It is tough to describe the exact looks of each style, both use vertical bolts, but yes the new style has a total of four bolts holding the arm into place. (ball jount notwithstanding)
Anybody...
Please take them off my hands! I don't want to have to ship them.

OLD ones have 4 bolts. NEW ones have 2 bolts.

Those are the OLD arms. Look like the ones you have?
