man, sorry to hear it was a friend Brian . . .
though, I must say, stuff like this happens when you do really dumb stuff (140 in a 35 is a bit excessive)

It is an electronic speedo, so just because it was at 140 means nothing. Second, the bike weighs about 550lbs, plus rider weight so if a car is broadsided it will screw the car up. I hate the media......"it is a new breed of motorcycle called a Superbike"....

yeah, I agree that the description of the bike was just plain stupid.
The officer did estimate it was doing 140 and the eyewitness did say in excess of 100, that's all I was getting at.
"new breed of superbike . . ." whatever.
My condolances man.

This always sucks! At least it was rider error and not a damn drunk that caused it. That just pisses me off to no end.
