here is the link about the race and accident between the civic and accord....
Civic Vs. Accord Vs. Cadillac

I do know that many people do street race, but is there really a need for it?!? I mean I know that I am out on the road all the time and I get some guy who pulls up to me and revs and wants to race, and I'll be the first to admit I used to take em on but now, its just not worth it The kid who died in the accord was 19 yrs old and I mean it hits close cuz I just turned 19 and never know what might happen to me in the next few days or weeks or months or years. The only ones I feel sorry for in this accident are the parents of the 19yr old guy who died and the people in the other car who just happened to pull out onto the street at the wrong time. Some people have pity for all those involved but, the civic and accord used bad judgement to race on an open road in day time. It was stupid of them, and lets hope that the kid in the civic will use his head a lil bit wiser from now on. I'd say the same for the kid in the accord but he'll never have the chance to drive or do anything anymore.
Sorry if I was babbling..its just I've heard many people talk bout this and point fingers to the FnF and its not the movies fault, it was the kids bad judgement. Feel free to comment to me if u agree or disagree with what I said Anything else feel free to IM me @IshAnImportThang

Street racing has been here FOREVER....the scene changes and the players are new every year. People get killed due to street racing, they also get killed by falling out of windows, or from bicycle accidents. SO : should we ban windows and bikes? The media has thrown street racing in full view lately, it will fall out of the spotlight, but never go away. As soon as they open a track where you can race who you want to and not just the next guy in line......then they might be able to get rid of the street racing scene. WHen I was in high school it was about the only thing to do: go out racing....(but I raced bikes of course).....it is not going away no matter what...

Just call me Judge.

I know but is this not an article on MI? It is not illegal here.

According to wayne county chief of police( Robert Ficano), it is illegal to have nitrous oxide hooked up in your car. If you disconnect it at the bottle-you're cool.

I think he is misinformed. You are allowed to have it just not use it on the street. What's the difference if you have it hooked up or not if the bottle is closed? Hee hee remote bottle opener.
