I have been reading that alot of the contour ATXs go out. I have one in my 98 se with 90,000 mi on the clock, all is still well. Will the ATX handle performance upgrades? Can I get a shift kit? Is it impractible to go to a 5sp. setup pedals etc?

Thanks---Mop

Highly impractial. Unless your rebuilding a whole car. If you wanted to get the manual why not just find an SVT Drivetrain and swap that in. It's the same amount of work.

Your ATX can have a shift kit from Transgo.
Get an Aftermarket Transcooler installed.

Thanks Lee,

Install a Trans Go Kit, and a Diablo Chip.
You'll be very happy.

Do you have the Trans Go kit? Does it actually do anything for performance?
