I just think lap racing would be more interesting...personal thought

A roushed mustang, A lightning, and a V6 slushbox?!?!?! , can you not see MaVRoCK, perspective? I totally agree drag racing is fun, if you have a roushed mustang, or a lighting, or even a "drag-preped" contour. But in all fairness our contours were made for a circuit, not a straight-away.

Well it's good to see that someone agrees with me in the fact that I'd be better at circuit than drag...but if you think I should come down there some time, the way my car is, I'm all for it! Hell, I'd love to just WATCH.

the mustang is no drag racer, by far... it's too heavy, it's stock, got an auto-trans, its a vert. i raced the tour when it was STOCK, and it was a great time. it doesn't matter what you bring, how fast you go, as long as you are having fun. believe me, as long as you don't act like an *******, you will be respected no matter what car you drive. i really think you are missing out on a great time by not going, the tour can be loads of fun at the strip.
for what it's worth, wed will (hopefully, if weather is good) be the first time i have the L at the strip.

Personally I can careless what vehicle I have at the drag strip. I will have fun whether I have a 9 sec or a 18 sec car. The fact is that how many places can you go full out for 1/4 mile, legally, of course. The truth is that any kind of racing is fun for me. That would explain why I took my car to several auto-x and road courses even though the car is set up more for drag racing.
Btw, svt2000 did go to the track. Milan did re-surface the water-box/starting line and they started to spray down VHT several times. I guess they are starting to come around. Can't wait to see what the drag whore of mine will do once it's done.
I will let marc come on and tell you guys what happened at the track since he did run into some problems.

Hey, I totally agree with you guys on the racing thing...I've never been racing before, but your attitudes are exactly like mine; it doesn't matter if you win or lose, all that matters is that youre having fun, and I think it would be a BLAST to race. (I still wanna do some circuit action tho )

The track was nice, but nobody was really hooking. I managed a 15.2 at 91, then a 15.2 at 88 and a 15.3 at 87. Come to find out, I blew my clutch out. So I am out of the scene for a while, until I get the "WHOLE DRIVETRAIN BEEFED UP". I have a few more mods planned, (thanks tcobra98), that should bring in a few 13`s timeslips.
