Suzuki lightened the cross shafts in the trannyto gain the extra weight advantage, and admitted they did it. They have had weak trannies in the gixxer forever...second gear has gone on most that are ridden hard. The gix 1K is a Freak of a motorcycle...should not be as fast as it is....I have no clue how they did it but they did (it is only 10 or so MPH faster than mine)....
