As long as the electronis are not made by some English company...then the Triumph is a good bike (my R1 will still lay the smack down on them though)......but I must say:

if you can afford the up keep.....otherwise buy a Yamaha....Suzuki's are "ok" but not the most reliable (not personal experience, but I ride with alot of people and they have issues).....CBR's are good starter sportbikes: they are stable at speed...power delivery is predictable....and parts are relatively cheap...cuz you are going to crash so just face the facts. There are two types of motorcyclists....those that have gone down and those that are going to go down....I have been down often..

How many SEMI people have bikes?

Kristen...whats with "take me for a ride"? Don't you know how to ride one yourself? If not...take the course at Macomb College even if you never ride your own bike...you never know when someone might need thier bike transported and you could save the day (not that I woul dever let anyone ride my bikes....the Buell has about 18thousand dollars wrapped into it)........
ok first off, I don;t have a bike .. (yet)...2nd even if you were to let me "ride one myself" as in your r1... I am too short to anyways! i need a smaller bike or have it dropped. therefor when i have had people allow me to drive their bikes, i am not able to!! i am barely 5'0 tall... infact i am not even... i am only 4'11 1/2"
i can barely touch on my tip toes on the ninja 250!!
I know "how" to ride a bike, i have driven a dirt bike b4.. i know the basics... front break is Rhand, back is rfoot.... down for 1... up for 2-6...gas rhand..clutch Lhand...etc...etc...
