Sorry about that Rye Lou, didn't catch that. Spatt... what is he bragging about... where he lives? What's so bragging about that?! Anyway, no, I am going to State this weekend, so I won't be in town. As far as Redline goes... I think that's cool that there is a car club like that and all... but seriously no offense to anyone... but isn't it just a bunch of ricers? I have a Mustang that is a drag car (see link on sig) and muscle cars and ricers are like oil and water for the most part. Although I have many friends that have riced out their civics and other cars (which I have absolutely no problem with), they usualy don't like my kind of car because they think that they can hang with a "Mustang" till I show up Anyway, I think I would catch too much hell if I went there... no, I am kidding, but I wouldn't mind going out there one day just to see what it's like... they still going to meet up at Murray's this year?

Some are what people would consider "ricey" I guess, but theres Mustangs and a few CSVT's that show up and theres a Supra, an S4...it's by for not just a group of ricers. Anyhow though....Spatt was just teasing, don't worry about him. He's jelous my car is faster so he feel's the need to be an ass once in a while...come to think of it, that's like all of CEG.. Yeah, I work in Birmingham every day. We should meet up sometime.

We should, that would be cool. I just got my contour a week and a half ago, but I can't stop playing with it . It was meant to be a fun, peppy daily driver, but I am already working on it and need some more ideas. Where do you work and when do you want to meet? (god I wish there was a button to have e-mail notices for replies... I forgot to click on it the first time I replied to this post, so I don't know when people post back... wish I could change that and have it send me notices.)

The "they usualy don't like my kind of car because they think that they can hang with a "Mustang" till I show up " comment is rather presumptuous. Do you mean on a road course, a drag strip, a car show, at a Woodward stoplight, or any combination of the above? From your home page I'll assume (shame on me) you mean only the drag strip. As we're almost neighbors, I'd be happy to roll down to Murrays with you and introduce you to the group. You'll find 95% to be open minded CAR (as in anything with wheels and an internal combustiion engine)entusiasts/fanatics; some into Show, some into Go, some into both, and some just like to hang out and BS about cars. What I can assure you is a less than warm reception if you show up in a Mustang (remember, you're in Metro Detroit, people who think they have a Bad Stang are everywhere; people with truley capable cars are a dime a dozen, even cars with mods costing more than the car is worth, which appears to be your case) with a bad attitude and use terms like "rice" in a derogatory manner. I won't list them here, but some of the fastest cars, in any catagory, on the planet are of "riced" out Asian manufacture. Also, just out of curiosity, at age 22, how do you afford the mods and insurance on your Mustang. Mark Whalen Vice President Redlinemotorsport, LLC.

You can pick up a nice 87 pretty cheap. 8-10k. Mods are fairly inexpensive as well.
