I don't think it will ever come, Mazda's 6 will be the basis for the next genration Mondeo. The V6 for the Mazda will be a upgraded Duratec, and the four will be the Zetec's replacement.
2000 SE fleet, V6, ATX, ABS, no spoiler, T-Green/tan. Built 01/2000 in MO. Added 12 spoke factory SE rims, K&N. Biggest mod: ESP Plan!

i just read that too. they just dogged the X-Type in eurpore, which they turn around and praise here. and then praise the Mondeo, which they turn around and dog here.
car writers are so bi-polar.

The Mondeo ST220 is so marketable in the US! Easy competition for the IS300 and would blow away any other American family sedan.
Bring it over FORD!

So far, the 3.0L in the Mazda 6 is slated to have 220-225 HP. Not as mush as the Nissans, yes. who knows if it will change?

Bring it over FORD! In a perfect world, yes. But we live in the land of unions and they would put up a big fight over importing it. Of course Ford could spend 3 or 4 years developing a softer, de-contented, poorly assembled “union friendly” version that would sell like hot cakes
