Hey guys I would just like to know your thoughts/opinions on the new soon-to-be-out SVT Focus. I might be getting one since I can't find a good SVT 'tour. I hoping they'll have as many aftermarket parts as the contours eventually...

-1988 Bronco II: Blue and silver with 8 shades of rust. The system costs more than the vehicle smile
-1999 SVT Contour: Silver Frost, tinted windows, stock for now...

Don't quote me on this, I may be wrong, but we are the Contour ENTHUSIAST Group, so I would assume that even if you don't have a Contour, you must have been enthusiastic about one to try and get one and to find this board. The way I see it, the more the merrier.
Just my $.02

i was going to get a Contour SVT but i could never find one that was low miles and/or a decent price. I thought if you guys like SVT's contours you must like some of their other cars/trucks too.

I have driven the SVT focus and am very impressed. It has acceleration to match the SVT Contour and feels very solid. Handling is excellent. It is a great little vehicle if you like the styling and small size. It uses nice materials throughout and the seats are very supportive (a CSVT weakness). Of course, the exhaust note is kind of raspy and cause its a 4 cylinder, you will never get it to sound as good as the contour. The engine is very flexible, but you will want to keep it above 3k rpm if you want to have any fun. It also has all the nice SVT goodies like 17" wheels and better brakes. Overall it is a sweet car.
