ahh the great CEG gods have spoken... Lets do a comparo...zaino v. no zaino...That way all can decide for themselves if Zaino's price is worth it. My non zainoed CSVT (ford factory tropic green)after a fresh coat of brand X off the shelf wax(on the reccomendation of Extreme LX) and perry's tour, after a fresh coat of Zaino, per his website: Can you tell a difference, cause I sure can't. There's our argument right there. Good thing perry bought his zaino at wholesale, otherwise he threw money away. Sometimes, a spade is a spade you know? Extreme LX's car.... I hear alot of people also are into Klasse products. Very similar "technology" to Zaino. For more info on detailing and a whole mess of people who love to talk about it check out: http://autopia-carport.com/

Wow, what a debate here. Personally I have *yet* to try Zaino and the Meguiars Gold Glass I used before last winter is still holding up so I'm happy with that. Once I use up my current supply I'll be ordering some Zaino to see for myself how good it is. The problem with arguing something like wax on an internet forum is that all you have for compairo' are pics and opinions. Neither of which make much of a difference in the end. As the saying goes 'A picture is worth a thousand words'...but in the case of arguing wax/polishs' all of those 'words' are shiney. There is a lot more involved in determining the 'better wax'. Shine is completely objective...long life, ease of application, low odor, and cost are the things that matter when you get down to figuring the best wax.

hey 99SVTguy, considering the age difference between the paint on your old SVT and perry's paint, I'd say that is pretty freaking good for perry's significantly older daily driver.
As to extremeLX, he's got a fresh, custom paint job, and he's obviously quite good at detailing (both contributing to his FFW award) but he makes ignorant statements regarding a product he doesn't/hasn't use(d). Besides, how often can you do a good rubbign compound treatment. and How many of us have or can afford a high-speed buffer to do the job properly (and how many would just burn through the paint???)
Zaino is not the only good car wax/polish out there, but it far exceeds any expectations that can be legitimately placed on it. It works very well when used properly, lasts a loooong time (heck its been about 10 months since I put 1 coat of Z1 on my cobra, and it is still pretty shiny) is very easy (both time and physical labor-wise) to apply, and in the long run, isn't really all that expensive (because proper use requires so little, the products last for a long time).
I don't know what extremeLX's (or anyone else's) real problem w/ zaino is, especially to warrant this obvious enmity towars the product line. Zaino does exactly what any good wax or polish should do, it offers paint protection, and a good smooth shiny finish, and to boot, it typically lasts longer than regular waxes, so what is the problem? and how exactly is it a waste of time? (especially since, for the average person, it is much quicker to use zaino than many other products?)
It obviously ain't for everybody, but why the hatred?
It's all about balance.

It obviously ain't for everybody, but why the hatred? Your on point. I use to be the same way I could not look past my bottle of High Tech Yellow Wax I thought Meguairs was the world. Until I took a chance and SPENT a little money and bought Zaino and I have never looked back. Do a search for all my post and you will see I was a die hard meguairs fan. So zaino must be good huh? I really don't understand the hatred myself, just try the prodcut out. If you don't like it then you can talk shizzle, but if you have not even used or let alone FELT a car with ZAino on you can STFU. Just my .2 cents. -Antonio

Dude, do yourself a favor and skip the zaino in favor of a good cut and buff with some 3M rubbing compoud, and a nice polish/carnuba wax to protect the shine.[/b] Best of shows? Who gives f*ck? I don't enter shows. If you don't give crap of what I think or the Corvette owners think, then I could care less of what YOU think. Dude, do yourself a favor and STFU if you've never tried the damn product. Expensive? Bullcrap. Yes, off the bat you spend $70, but guess what, I'm still on my ORIGINAL bottles even after 12 or so coats in the past year. Once my Z2 and Z5 bottles run out (that's what you use) I can rebuy for $30 (both) and they'll last me 2 years. Carnuba wax huh? Yeah, I'll watch all that yellow wax melt away as the sun hits it. No thanks. No need to make a conversation w/ you if you're gonna be a ignorant b1tch. C ya, and good luck in the shows. John P.S. Didn't you want to be a over-the-hill owner yourself at one time? Thought so.

No you can't use it on tint it's too abrasive. I do love their tire gloss. It makes your tires really black, like I like, not shiney. It also stays on for a while and doesn't flip off. The things you will need are Z1 or ZFX, Z2, Z5, Z6 gloss enhancer, and Z7 wash. Get a couple of the Z6 and Z7. BTW, all of this stuff should last a long time if used sparingly like they say too.

ABILITY I beleive you lack knowledge, and experience with the products from Zaino. Don't act like a child, it just makes you look silly.

Ok people if you must justify paying out of your a$$ for this s*it. By trying to make ( me sound like i dont know what im talking about). Then so be it. :p If you prefer to waste your money on that crap go ahead. Why should i care. But no matter what you say or do. I can promise you that i can out polish anyone of you guys in half the time with better resluts and alot less money. So you do the math, If you still have the capacity for relative judgement. Which i strongly doubt being that your all excelling in the moronic fashion you do so well.
