S/C 3.8l or the Aurora (Oldsmobile) 3.5L either one could end up in that car. Supposedly next year's Pontiac Grand Prix will have a minimum of 270 HP, possibly 280 (up from 240). If they stuff that engine into the Impala, then there could be trouble beating it. This years Impala does have decent torque though, so it might take you out of the hole, but if you're driving a stick, then you'll take her b/c that auto in the Impala is junk. Bad shifts.
